God's got a plan for your pain! - Weekly Newsletter from Alexandra

Your pain is not meant to define you...

We’ve all been hurt, Reader. Especially in relationships. And for many of us, that includes the church. Church hurt is real, and it can leave deep wounds. But here’s a perspective that changed everything for me: hurt isn’t proof that we should shut down—it’s proof that we’re engaging, connecting, and growing.

For a long time, I built walls to protect myself from pain. I thought that by keeping my heart guarded, I could avoid being hurt again. But instead, I found myself feeling disconnected—not just from people, but from God.

Relationships, even the painful ones, are how God shapes us. He often brings the exact people we need—whether we realize it or not—to draw us back to Him. Every hurt can be an invitation to dive deeper into His love. And when God is first in our hearts, we can return to people not with bitterness, but with His love.

In this week’s episode, “Church Hurt: Healing from Spiritual Wounds & Finding Your Way Back to God,” we’ll talk about:

• The difference between submission and subjugation in faith
• How to heal from past wounds without losing your relationship with God
• The power of raw, unfiltered prayer when you’re struggling
• Why mature love in Christ is deeper and stronger than the emotional highs of early faith

Pain is part of the process—but it doesn’t define you, and it doesn’t have to be the end of your story. Healing is coming. You are not alone.

I’d love to hear your thoughts, and I invite you to join our Facebook Group community to connect with others on this journey. And if this episode speaks to you, subscribe to the Curious for Christ podcast for more insights in the future.

The process of becoming often feels like a wrestling match but it's necessary for transformation to occur. Lately Reader, stepping into this new venture in real estate has stretched me in ways I didn’t expect. There’s so much to learn, so many emotions to navigate, and an ongoing need for resilience. This past week, I had to be especially intentional—not just with my work, but with my health, my emotions, and my connection with God.I found myself leaning in, speaking with God about everything...

It is rather how you live with it that will matter... I had a moment this week when I realized something important: life keeps moving forward, whether I feel ready for it or not. Growth is not linear—it doesn’t pause for us to catch up. And the truth is, the more we step into new opportunities, the more overwhelming life can feel. This week, I was simply going through my days—doing new things for my business, meeting new people, and pushing myself outside of my comfort zone. I should have...

Your body is a sacred vessel, healing begins from within, and God is renewing you... Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent, a season of reflection, repentance, and renewal. But in truth, any time is an opportunity to turn back to our Creator, Reader. Lent isn’t just about giving something up—it’s about making space for God to restore us. When I was a teenager, I noticed how loudly my body spoke. The quickening pulse of stress. The hollow ache of loneliness. The deep exhale of relief when...
