Are you in a waiting season?

The wilderness is where God speaks tenderly — this is where He restores your heart.

Have you ever felt like you’re learning the same lessons again and again, Reader?

Like you have big dreams, real God-given desires, but they feel:

far away,

or shrinking,

or maybe even slipping further out of reach?

And you start asking yourself:

“Why is this taking so long?” “Am I missing something?” “Should I just stop hoping?”

I have been there too, Reader. Fully.

I’ve lived in those long, quiet seasons where nothing seems to move — no matter how hard you try, pray, learn, or push.

For a long time, I thought maybe I needed to:

try harder,

be better,

learn more,

or “fix” something in myself.

Until one day I stumbled on a scripture that changed the emotion of the wilderness for me.

Hosea 2:14 — “I will lure her into the wilderness and speak tenderly to her.”

At first, I read it fast…

wilderness — okay, I know that word. Hard seasons. Testing. Refining. Growth.

But then I saw something I had never really seen before:

“Speak tenderly to her.”

Tenderly?

Warmly?

Lovingly?

It means the wilderness isn’t punishment.

It’s invitation, Reader.

I realized something important:

The confusion, discouragement, disappointment — those weren’t from God.

But the silence… that was room being made for His voice.

In the wilderness…

God is not pushing you away.

He is drawing you closer.

He is teaching you to tell the difference between His voice and every other voice.

Because until you know His voice, you won’t have the strength to carry the dream.

The wilderness isn’t where dreams die.

It’s where your heart is strengthened to hold them.

And in this week’s episode, I talk about the two things that never fail, especially in seasons like this:

  1. Praise — even when you don’t feel it.
  2. Truth — God’s Word, spoken out loud, over your own soul.

These are how we stay steady when everything around us shakes.

This Week’s Invitation:

Let yourself be led into the wilderness — not dragged.

Ask:

What is God tenderly speaking to me?

How is He loving me here?

Can I soften enough to receive that love?

Because when His love becomes the anchor, Reader,

the dream is no longer the point — He is.

And ironically, that’s when the dream becomes possible again.

Reader, if this resonates…

I would love to hear what God is teaching you in your season.

Happy Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving Morning Encouragement From My Heart to Yours... Good morning, Reader — and Happy Thanksgiving. Before the day begins, before the table fills and the house gets loud, I wanted to send you a little encouragement to carry with you into this holiday. Lately, God has been teaching me that thanksgiving doesn’t always grow in perfect seasons… it often grows in the ones that challenge us the most. Sometimes gratitude feels natural. Other times, it’s something we practice — something we...

The world Jesus walked

Step Into the Story of Scripture... The world Jesus walked. Hi Reader, Some of us have walked with Scripture for many years. We’ve highlighted the same verses, underlined the same passages, and prayed through the familiar stories of Jesus, His followers, and the early church. And yet — sometimes we forget that these were real people living in a real world. Streets with dust beneath their feet. Homes filled with fear, hope, and prayer. A temple that stood in glory — and then fell. Political...

Being still in not failure — especially when God is the reason... "From the rising of the sun to its setting, the name of the Lord is to be praised." Psalm 113:3 Lately, I’ve been sitting with a lot, Reader — questions, emotions, and thoughts I didn’t expect. There were days when I felt like if this one thing doesn’t work out — it’s over. That if a deal doesn’t come through, or if breakthrough doesn’t happen soon, then maybe there’s no real hope left. I’ve had moments where I finally...
