The peace you need right now... | Weekly newsletter from Alexandra

An invitation to rest in Him...

Reader, have you ever felt so overwhelmed that even hope feels out of reach?

Maybe it’s the mounting responsibilities, the emotional weight you carry for others, or the quiet battles in your own soul. You want peace—but all you see is the storm.

I’ve been there too. And if I’m honest, when I’m overwhelmed, my mind tries to fix everything at once. But that never brings peace—it only fuels the anxiety.

This week, God’s been gently reminding me:

“You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.” – Isaiah 26:3

Perfect peace isn’t the absence of chaos—it’s the presence of Christ in the chaos.

Truth #1 – Peace Is Not a Destination, It’s a Person

Jesus is called the Prince of Peace. He is our hope and our peace. Peace isn’t something we finally arrive at once life feels manageable—it’s something we can experience right now in relationship with Him. When we draw near to Him, His peace is available immediately, no matter what’s swirling around us.

Truth #2 – Peace With God Brings the Peace of God

Before Jesus, we were at war with God—whether we realized it or not. But through His death and resurrection, Jesus restored the relationship we could never fix ourselves. When we start here—knowing we are no longer God’s enemy but His beloved child—we finally have a starting point for lasting peace.

Truth #3 – Peace Grows in the Middle of Real Life

We often wait for a “perfect moment” to feel peaceful. But God’s peace doesn’t grow in escape—it grows in the middle of dishes, deadlines, doctor visits, and difficult conversations. It’s planted as we choose to trust Him in the middle of what’s messy.

If you feel overwhelmed and hopeless today, Reader, you don’t have to wait until everything calms down to find peace.

You can pause—right now—and turn your mind to the One who holds you steady. Even if your circumstances don’t change, His peace can anchor your soul.

Practical Step for the Week:

Take 5 minutes today to stop and pray:

  • Tell God exactly what’s overwhelming you.
  • Thank Him that you have peace with Him through Jesus.
  • Ask Him to plant His peace in your heart right here, right now.

Reader, you are not forgotten in your overwhelm.

You are seen, loved, and held. May you feel His steadying hand and hear His whisper: “I am your peace.”

And if you need more encouragement, make sure you listen to this week’s podcast episode:

Overwhelmed and Losing Hope? 3 Biblical Truths About Peace You Need Right Now

It’s a deeper dive into these truths, with practical ways to live them out today.

I believe you can enter His peace right now, Reader. Because He loves you so deeply, He has held nothing back. Every barrier has been removed, no matter what is swirling around you.

With love,
