Is impatience fueling your anxiety?

When waiting feels impossible...

The other night, while cooking with my husband, I couldn’t help but notice how different we are in the kitchen, Reader. He likes things quick and simple—done in no time. But I come from Europe, where preparing a meal is never rushed. From selecting fresh ingredients to imagining the dish to slow prep and cooking, everything takes time.

Even breakfast growing up was different—we didn’t have instant oatmeal packets ready in 30 seconds. It was steel-cut oats, simmered slowly for 30 minutes to an hour. All good things take time.

And isn’t that true of life as well, Reader? The best things God is shaping in us aren’t microwaved; they’re cultivated—just like a farmer waiting for the harvest.

If you’ve been wrestling with questions like, “Why is this taking so long?” or “God, did you forget about me?”—this week’s episode is for you.

Scripture reminds us: “See how the farmer waits for the land to yield its valuable crop, patiently waiting for the autumn and spring rains. You too, be patient and stand firm, because the Lord’s coming is near.” — James 5:7–8

In this new podcast episode, we talk about patience—what it means, and how it can be cultivated in every area of your life.

Reader, I’d also love to hear your reflections and continue the conversation. Join me in the Facebook community where we share encouragement, stories, and reminders of God’s faithfulness in the waiting.

When we slow down and cultivate patience, we’re able to hear God more clearly, align with His will, and experience the wonderful life He has prepared for us.

“For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” — Ephesians 2:10

What is the good work He has planned for you? It’s worth taking the time to find out.

I’d love to hear from you, Reader—where does impatience tend to show up in your life? Just hit reply to this email. I’d be honored to read your response and pray for you.

With God, you can do all things!

With love and grace,

Episode 113: Joy after Sorrow: Processing Grief with Dr Jerry Woodbridge

We grieve because we love... Even in sorrow, God's joy can shine through—like the laughter of children Do you ever feel as though you carry a suitcase filled with grief—moments of loss, disappointment, and sorrow, from the very beginning of life, Reader? Have you ever noticed how the weight of grief can slowly build, shaping the way we experience life? Instead of moving through life with the lightness and joy of children at play, we become burdened—disconnected from ourselves, from one...

The doubts you feel are stealing God's work... "As for what was sown among thorns, this is the one who hears the word, but the cares of the world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and it proves unfruitful" Matthew 13:22 Have you ever caught yourself holding tightly to control or doubting God’s plans because it feels safer than trusting Him fully, Reader? Even this week, I had one of those moments. Monday came, and I started feeling anxious about work. I found myself questioning:...

Encountering God in the messy places...

Can you find Peace in Chaos? Encountering God in the Messy Places... Have you ever walked into a room and wanted to turn right back around, Reader? That was me at a recent school event. Maybe your challenge looks different—doubts that keep circling, intrusive thoughts that steal your peace, or uncertainty about what tomorrow will hold. No...
