Is impatience fueling your anxiety?

When waiting feels impossible...

The other night, while cooking with my husband, I couldn’t help but notice how different we are in the kitchen, Reader. He likes things quick and simple—done in no time. But I come from Europe, where preparing a meal is never rushed. From selecting fresh ingredients to imagining the dish to slow prep and cooking, everything takes time.

Even breakfast growing up was different—we didn’t have instant oatmeal packets ready in 30 seconds. It was steel-cut oats, simmered slowly for 30 minutes to an hour. All good things take time.

And isn’t that true of life as well, Reader? The best things God is shaping in us aren’t microwaved; they’re cultivated—just like a farmer waiting for the harvest.

If you’ve been wrestling with questions like, “Why is this taking so long?” or “God, did you forget about me?”—this week’s episode is for you.

Scripture reminds us: “See how the farmer waits for the land to yield its valuable crop, patiently waiting for the autumn and spring rains. You too, be patient and stand firm, because the Lord’s coming is near.” — James 5:7–8

In this new podcast episode, we talk about patience—what it means, and how it can be cultivated in every area of your life.

Reader, I’d also love to hear your reflections and continue the conversation. Join me in the Facebook community where we share encouragement, stories, and reminders of God’s faithfulness in the waiting.

When we slow down and cultivate patience, we’re able to hear God more clearly, align with His will, and experience the wonderful life He has prepared for us.

“For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” — Ephesians 2:10

What is the good work He has planned for you? It’s worth taking the time to find out.

I’d love to hear from you, Reader—where does impatience tend to show up in your life? Just hit reply to this email. I’d be honored to read your response and pray for you.

With God, you can do all things!

With love and grace,

Being still in not failure — especially when God is the reason... "From the rising of the sun to its setting, the name of the Lord is to be praised." Psalm 113:3 Lately, I’ve been sitting with a lot, Reader — questions, emotions, and thoughts I didn’t expect. There were days when I felt like if this one thing doesn’t work out — it’s over. That if a deal doesn’t come through, or if breakthrough doesn’t happen soon, then maybe there’s no real hope left. I’ve had moments where I finally...

Your heritage may shape you, but God's love defines you... Where you come from matters, but it's the light above that defines you... This week, I want to share something very personal — a simple Ancestry.com update that led to a much deeper conversation with God about identity and worth. When my husband mentioned, “You have a new DNA match,” I brushed it off. I thought, I already know who I am. Half Belgian, half Bulgarian. I grew up in Europe. I have an accent — that’s me. Then I clicked...

The wrestle is real but it is not wasted... Romans 12:2 "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind". Have you ever been amazed by the butterfly, Reader? When it struggles to push out of the chrysalis, it looks painful. But scientists tell us that wrestle is what forces blood into the wings so it can fly. If you cut the butterfly out early, it wouldn’t make it. That’s how I’m making sense of my own life right now. And perhaps the same goes for...
