Don't let your doubts hold you back!

The doubts you feel are stealing God's work...

Have you ever caught yourself holding tightly to control or doubting God’s plans because it feels safer than trusting Him fully, Reader?

Even this week, I had one of those moments.

Monday came, and I started feeling anxious about work. I found myself questioning: Will God have great plans for me this week? Does my work even matter? Is God really there? I am ashamed to say, doubt grew as the day went on.

Then I remembered the prayer I had prayed—asking God to reveal the “thorns” in my heart that were choking His Word and making it ineffective. In that moment, I recognized an opportunity from God to see what these thorns were. We often learn through suffering (even emotional pain), and being aware of that allowed me to stop believing my doubts and say, “I trust You, God, even if nothing comes of this work.”

Immediately, my heart relaxed, gratitude returned, and I felt free. That posture of trust—even when I didn’t feel like it—was a small but meaningful victory.

That is exactly what my latest podcast episode is about. It’s called: “The Hidden Danger Behind Doubting God and Holding onto Control — and Why Trusting Him Changes Everything.”

In this episode, I share how doubt and fear can secretly choke God’s Word in our lives, limit His blessings, and hold our hearts captive. I also give practical ways to uproot the “thorns” in our hearts, all backed by Scripture, and how to trust God wholeheartedly.

Trusting God is an active choice. When doubts or anxieties start to entangle you, Reader, I encourage you to say: “Lord, I may feel fear or doubt (name what you feel honestly), but I choose to believe Your promises and step forward in faith.”

I’m cheering you on to gain perseverance as you recognize the enemy’s lies (remember how he tempted Eve?) and not feel discouraged. Be courageous and choose to trust, Reader!

I’m so grateful for God’s grace and patience with me—and the truth is, His grace is available to all of us as we learn to walk confidently with Him.

Remember, Reader: God’s plans are bigger than your doubts, stronger than your fears, and He is faithful to complete the work He started in you.
