Are you tired of trying so hard?

But trying harder is not the answer...

Last week, with my birthday coming up, I was planning a trip—I love to travel! Then, my agent sent me a casting request for a commercial in London… right during my birthday week! It felt like a gift from God. I gave my best in the audition, submitted it early, and even added a note thanking them for considering me. But this week, I found out I didn’t get the callback.

The disappointment was real, but what hurt more was feeling let down by God. I started to wonder, Where is God in this? Does He even care about my dreams?

Do you feel the same sometimes, Reader? You’re open, trying everything, giving your best, yet the peace or blessings you long for seem distant. You start to ask, What’s missing? What am I doing wrong?

That same day, I went to my community group. A woman shared about her painful journey of praying for her son, struggling for years to let go of fear. But the moment she truly surrendered, he returned home safe. Her story struck me. I realized my disappointment wasn’t just about the rejection—it was about my own plans that I hadn’t fully released. The truth is, I hadn’t fully surrendered this dream.

I’m learning, again and again, that the journey is all about surrender -not trying harder. The bigger the dream, the deeper the surrender. Trusting God, even in the “no’s,” is hard, but knowing His love and timing brings peace. If you’ve been feeling restless or uncertain, know you’re not alone.

But it requires equipping yourself for this journey, Reader!

Remember, even when you feel powerless, “In Christ, you are more than conquerors.” (Romans 8:37)

Until next time,
