Don't hold back..

God is preparing you for something greater...

It’s hard to admit, but we don’t like to wait, do we? We pour ourselves into our work, expecting results, striving for mastery with all the resources we have at our fingertips—books, courses, endless streams of information.

Yet, if we could manage it all on our own, would we even need Jesus? His sacrifice would be unnecessary.

This week, something shifted for me. As I reflected on this, I began to work differently. Instead of pushing for a specific outcome, I let it go. I handed it over to God. There was a quiet peace in that surrender, an acceptance that whatever outcome God had in store for me was the right one, even if I didn’t see it yet.

And then, without warning, things began to happen—an email with a ‘yes’ to an interview I wasn’t sure I’d get, an unexpected audition request.

I continue to work, enjoying each moment, meeting fascinating guests—scholars, authors, creators—on my podcast. There’s joy in the process, in the connections, and a lightness in knowing I don’t have to control everything. I don’t need all the answers.

Maybe this is what you needed to hear today, Reader: God knows what He is doing, and He’s always at work in your life, even in the waiting.

Is there a part of your life where you feel like God is holding back, Reader? What if He’s not holding back, but protecting or preparing you?

Share your thoughts by replying to this email or joining the conversation in our Facebook group! I’d love to hear where you’re waiting, too.
